The town encompasses a total land area of about 36 square miles, characterized as a picturesque landscape that is rich in natural beauty with rolling hills, lakes and rivers, lush forests, and farm fields making for an ideal place to call home. Outdoor recreation in nature is abundant in the town and in the adjacent Chequamegon National Forest.
