Birch Lake Church & Cemetery
Church construction began in 1897, and the first service was held in June 1901. J.D. Nelsenius of Ashland was its first pastor. The original name was Trinity Lutheran Church of Birch Lake, and in 1889 there were 57 members. Worship services are no longer held at the church, but it can be reserved for private functions. The cemetery is now maintained by the Birch Lake Cemetery Association.
